I hope you’ve secured your domain name.

Some prefer buying domains from one company and then host in a different company, but as a beginner,  recommend buying and setting up your website/blog in one company, like Godaddy, Hostgator, BlueHost and others.

But in the course of this tutorial, I chose Whogohost.

Note: the procedures and names may vary, depending on the hosting company.

How to get your Blog/Website Running

  1. Proceed to the Hosting Services

I believe you already secured you domain name.

Not go to and select hosting, as described by the image below. You will see the hosting options and their prices.

Now you can see the hosting options and their prices. Select according to your choice and continue.

After paying for the hosting account you’ve selected. Wait for the domain to propagate before proceeding to other installations and customization.

After some hours, go back to your account to proceed with the hosting services you just paid for. You are almost done, and your blog-site will be published in minutes.

On your Account, locate the Cpanel and use the one-click option to gain access to your root folder. Here you can install or upload the blog pr site content and see running in a matter of minutes.

There are lost of web applications you can select and install in just a click. But  for prospective bloggers, WordPress app is the most popular. You can select and install your WordPress.

Durring the nstallation, bear in mng the username you chose, the password you make use of and other root folders you might have created, in order to have control of your site, should anything happen later.

I hope you followed the procedures properly. But if you still find some of the hidden information difficult to go by, feel free to ask me on the comment box below; I will reply ASAP.
